Curriculum vitae and research interests:

From 1982 to my retirement in 2020 I was a lexicographer at the Thesaurus Linguae Latinae-Institute at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences in Munich, delegated by the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Besides the TLL my research has focused on the semantic development of early modern Latin, esp. on lexicographical questions. I have been interested in the works of Niccolò Perotti, their sources and reception, Pomponio Leto, and Ermolao Barbaro the Younger.
